How to activate/disable 2024 BMW S1000RR motorcycle run-in engineer speed limitation using OBDSTAR MS80 or MotoMaster diagnostic scanner.

Background: A 2024 BMW S1000 RR motorcycle may have limited engine speed in some cases, resulting in output power that cannot meet expectations. To further increase the engine power, it is necessary to deactivate the engine speed limitation.

 

Below is before deactivating engine speed limitation.

Preparation

Preparation: MS80 Motorcycle Scanner, M001A Main Cable.

Solution

Solution: Using OBDSTAR MS80 or OBDSTAR MotoMaster to operate【Activate/deactivate run-in engine speed limitation】in【Drive】of【Service Functions】menu.

 

Details Steps:

①Select【MOTO Diag】-【BMW】- latest version, enter【Diagnosis】function;

②Select【New version (-2024)】;

 

③Tap【Auto Identify[VIN]】;

④Tap【Read】, wait to identify the vehicle VIN code and confirm;

⑤Confirm the vehicle information, tap【Ok】;

 

⑥Select【Function Set】;

 

⑦Tap【Agree】, according to the prompt, enter the password 123, tap【Ok】;

⑧Select【Service Functions】;

 

⑨Select the left【Drive】and then select the right【Activate/deactivate run-in engine speed limitation】;

⑩Tap【Ok】;

⑪Select【Deactivate engine speed limitation】( Note : when the vehicle is under the engine speed limitation, the【Engine speed limitation】is【activated】, when it is not, 【Engine speed limitation】shows【deactivated】, then perform the function will activate the engine speed limitation.);

⑫The engine speed limitation was deactivated successfully, tap【OK】;

⑬Select【End】and then【Continue】to exit the operation process;

Connect ECM with DC706 via P004 adapter.

Choose Bench mode with P004 adapter.

Connect ECU.

Read and save INT eeprom.

If need to clone ECM, connect donor ECM and write eeprom and flash into the ECM.

Yes, DC706 will clone this BSI.

 100% I've read a BSI N03 with my DC706. And that was with a corrupted EEPROM and it still read.

Failed to program via dealer key option (programming via dump and key in OBDSTAR key sensor area): Said key successful programming but 0 key in bsi.
Choose programming key all key Lost: programming directing in ignition coil. Program successfull and 1 key bsi.

OBDSTAR G3 Replace Renault Logan 2012- BCM UCH

How to replace Dacia Sandero 2013-2019 Continental UCH with JCI using OBDSTAR X300 Classic G3. It is similar to older Renault/Dacia cars.

 

NOTE: You will need G3. X300 DP Plus does not have ECU advanced function.

This may not work on every Renault/Dacia. Always check G3 coverage and function before operation.
Read original UCH information.

Go to ECU Advanced- Renault/Dacia->BCM/UCH
Drop down list and find Logan-> 2012 onwards-> Continental

Read ECU info.
OBDSTAR will read part number, VIN, keys, etc info.

You can read Dflash and extract a PIN code from the BCM / UCH memory.

If failed to read pin code under ECU Advanced function, try to extract pin code via method 2 here.

Autel tools are used to be able to change UCH VIN for these Renault. But it no longer reads pin code.

 

Once you get the pin code. Replace the Continental UCH with the JCI one.

Go to ECU Advanced- Renault/Dacia->BCM/UCH
Drop down list and find Logan-> 2012 onwards-> Johnson

Reset BCM.

BCM is blank.

Select Program BCM.

Follow 3 steps to program BCM.
Press Start.
The function will learn new ISK codes to the body control module (BCM).
Turn off the ignition switch.

Enter 32-digit pin code.

Switch ignition off.

Insert the key and turn on the ignition switch.

Turn on the ignition switch twice to save key information.

BCM programming successfully.
Turn on the ignition switch twice to save key information.

Read ECU info. There is only 1 key in the system.

We need to add the 2nd key with OBDSTAR G3.

Select Program Keys function.
Follow 5 steps to program 2nd key.
Switch ignition off.
Enter 32-digit pin code
Turn off the ignition and remove the key.Press OK to learn next key.
Insert the key and turn on ignition.
It reads key ID.
Learn key success.
Switch ignition off and remove key.

Read ECU info again.

You can see 2 keys programmed and the VIN is the same as original BCM/UCH.

Test keys.
Done.
