OBDSTAR Program 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe Proximity Key

 OBDSTAR is good on new GM CAN FD system key programming. Here is an example of 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe Key with obdstar x300 dp plus.

 

It is 2022 Chevy Tahoe. Autel cannot do it. It cannot bypass the security code.

AutoPro pad and OBDSTAR will do this.
OBDSTAR requires a CAN FD adapter.

 

Make sure you have device and CAN FD adapter well connected.

If failed to communicate via auto detect, go for manually select instead.

Chevy->USA->Tahoe-> 2021- > without Pincode

Read key number. There are 2 keys programmed.

Select Program Keys.

This function requires network connection.

Turn on the ignition switch

Configure system

Put the new proximity key into the sensing area in the second round hole of the cup holder.

Take the other keys out of car.
Press and hold the start button for more than 2 seconds.

Insert new key, press Start button.

Test new keys.

OBDSTAR Adds Land Cruiser 2023 8A Smart Key

 We have an original working remote key and we need to add a spare 8A Texas Crypto 128-bits smart key (original key) to a Land Cruiser 2023 using OBDSTAR X300 DP plus.

Go to Immobilizer-> Toyota Lexus Scion->Latest software version->Manual Sselect system->Proximity->Type 8 (CAN)

Read key numbers, there are 2 keys already. We are going to make 3rd key.

Select Add key function

The function requires network connection
Turn on ignition switch with working key.

x300 dp plus asks for 12-digit security code.
You can get the code from 3rd party. Here we have the security code, you can also try to backup immo data via obd, if failed, use the security code.

Place a programmed key close to Start button

Program key completed.

Test the remote.

*OBDSTAR will add key and program all keys lost on Land Cruiser 2022-2023 if page is 8A-AA or 8A-A9. It cannot do 8A-BA.

Backup DP Software

 

Warning: Upgrading the firmware will clean up all the settings in the device and all the software in the DP. Users who have expired cannot download the software again through the one-click upgrade, so the software in the device needs to be backed up.

1. Insert a TF card with a capacity greater than 16G into the device to back up the DP software.

2. Click the main menu button on the main screen, select and enter the ES file manager.

3. Locate and long press the DP folder in the main interface of the ES file manager that opens, and then click the copy button.

4. Click the menu button, expand the local area, and select the homepage.

5. Select and click the external TF card, and then click the paste button. Wait for the copy to complete. After the firmware upgrade is complete, just overwrite the DP directory from the TF card to the device.

Preparations

1. Download firmware file above to be upgraded.

The firmware file name format is: dpXX.zip.

2.

A TF card with a capacity greater than 1G and a TF card reader. All files inside the card will be cleared during the operation, please backup first.

Making upgradable TF card

1. After inserting the TF card into the card reader, insert the card reader into the USB port of the computer.

2. Format TF card

Warning: All files in the TF card will be erased, if there are important files in the TF card, please back them up before operating.

3. Decompress the “dpXX.zip ” and copy decompressed files to the formatted TF card

Updating the firmware

Warning: please plug in the power adapter for the device and ensure that the power indicator is on. Do not power off during the upgrade process.

1. Insert the TF card into the device.

2. Make sure the device is plugged in and the power light is on. Long press the device power button and select Reboot

3. The device will automatically perform a firmware upgrade, Please wait.

4. When the screen displays “update successful”, remove the TF card from the device. Long press the power button to turn off, then long press the power button to turn on.

5. Firmware upgrade is completed.

How to Clone Fiat IAW 9GV with OBDSTAR DC706 on Bench?

 OBDSTAR DC706 can be used to clone Fiat Magneti Marelli IAW 9GV, 9GF, 7GF, 10GF etc ECUs on bench. Here is an example of cloning data from your original faulty engine ECU to your replacement engine ECU.

Connect 9GV ecu with DC706 via P003 adapter follow the wiring diagram

Successfully connected it.

Read and save eeprom (95320)

Read and save flash (MPC5634)

Read and save eeprom decrypted 95320

Read and save eeprom 95320 again

Connect new ECU with OBDSTAR DC706 and p003 adapter.

Write flash data to new ECU.
