 OBDSTAR released an important Toyota/Lexus software update for vehicles with gateway reading smart key ECU IMMO data by OBD (world first released, no need any adapters).

Here is an example on read immo data and generate simulator key on Toyota Camry 2018 8A-A9 proximity via OBD.

 

Device required:

OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus/Key Master DP Plus/Key Master 5/X300 Pro4

Procedure:

Step 1: Read Immo Data

Connect x300 dp plus with vehicle via OBD main cable
Go to Car immo->Asia- >Toyota Lexus ->Latest Toyota software-> Manual select vehicle->Toyota-> Select region USA/Canada ->Camry ->Proximity-> 2018 onwards-> Read Immo data-> By OBD

The function requires network connection
Turn on the emergency flasher and press Start button for 5s

Read immo data via OBD successfully. Save data.

 

Step 2: Generate simulator key

Then select Make simulated card

The function can generate an simulated card with all keys lost. The simulator key will turn on ignition and will be used to add smart key.

Select the immo data in step 1

Select generate simulator by Key SIM

Connect Key SIM with x300 dp plus

Generate simulated key successfully

The generated simulator key will start car. Then you can perform Step 3: Add smart key. Add key or all keys lost via the immo data.

The procedure is pretty straightforward. Just follow the instructions.

How to flash obdstar x300 dp plus?

Paste reflash files to a SD Card (paste files but not a folder).

Insert SD card to x300 dp plus. Press “+” and shutdown button at the same time until “SUCCESSFUL” message appears.

Then long press the shutdown button to turn device off. Press power on and volume + button at the same time to enter reflashing mode. Wait until flashing completed.

Reboot the device, connect device with internet, login with user name and password. It will back to normal again.

How to Exit Skoda Octavia 2017 Learning Mode?

 Problem:

I have added keys to skoda octavia 2017 with xhorse vvdi key tool plus and car is still in learning mode. Try to reset instrument cluster, but still no working. Is any way to exit this mode?

Solution:

Use another tool- OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus as long as you can read immo and eeprom data.

Just program keys as normal and it finished procedure like should be. for some reason key tool plus could not end the learning stage even if all keys had been recognized.

Generate simulator key successfully.

Restore smart box cable.
The emulator key can start engine now.

You can perform add key or all keys lost with the immo data.
