OBDSTAR P50 Volvo TMS570 Airbag U3000 Error Solution

 Here comes the problem:

One of the OBDSTAR P50 users was trying to reset Volvo XC40 2020 airbag module on bench, the tool erased crash successfully but got some error codes including fault code U3000-Control Module error.

Part number: P32246116, CPU TMS570 RH850 locked.

after clear crash, the engine no longer wants to start, it turns and turns but does not start, there is no spark or injection pulse.

Possible reason:

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3000 has the simple definition of “Control Module.” This indicates an issue with the communication network or if the voltage of the other controllers varies too much from the range programmed into the control module.

The TMS570 software in P50 is beta version, but not for locked RH850 in Volvo modules.  Need luck. Some worked, some failed. 

 Programming method for Volvo RH850 is not yet available in major commercial tools.

That module is not supported although it’s listed (OBDSTAR P50 does not support RH850 locked). 

 

 

Possible solution:

You have u3000 fault code. Mayby you too quickly move module after disconnecting power. For sure you must not touch it for 15 minutes after disconnecting power.
Probably now you need read it by jtag and use solution erase crash with u3000.

If the hardware is ok, you not (write) any data via Programmer! Assembly correct ECU. You will need Car pro tool+smart obd, carprog, smok and more other professional tools.
Connect to SMART-OBD. And Press button Clear crash software repair CRASH and U3000!!!

Read original data inside ecu. Connect to smart obd on Table and click to clear crash by obd. After finish disconnect 12v. wait 15 mins without touch srs module. Connect back smart obd and read errors – same u3000 !!!

If the hardware is not ok, the Control module is bricked. You need to fit new module and program with VIDA.
