Tutorial: How to clone Ford Body Control Module BCM Delphi R5F64524 using OBDSTAR DC706 ECU/TCU programmer on bench.
Left: Donor BCM; Right Original BCM
In DC706 quick search BCM Delphi R5F64524, bench mode with P004.
DC706 will show you wiring diagram. You can also use the wiring diagram for I/O Terminal.
Connect BCM module with DC706 via P004 adapter (Ground, CAN High, CAN Low and 12V power supply). The power adapter comes with DC706 only used to charge the tablet. You must connect an extra 12V 5A power supply. (This is very important!!!)
Turn on ignition switch on P004 adapter.
Press Connect.
DC706 will ask you the way to get pin code, you have 3 options to get pin
- Used default pincode
- Manually a pincode
- or load R5F64524/R5F64525 INT eeprom
Here we choose to use default pincode.
Connect with module.
Read EXT eeprom and save.
Read INT eeprom and save.
Read INT flash and save. Flash data is going to take little bit longer. We wait until we finish.
Make sure you back up all the information from the original BCM.
Then press Disconnect!!!
Disconnect wire harness from original BCM.
Connect a new BCM with OBDSTAR DC706 follow the same wiring diagram.
We need to write all the genuine information to the donor module.
Press Connect.
Select use default pin code.
First of all, we need to back up all the information of the donor module in case if anything goes wrong with writing.
Read EXT eeprom, INT eeprom and INT flash separately.
After backing up all data, we can write data into the new BCM.
Write EXT eeprom.
Load external data, upload original ext eeprom we read in step 1.
Write EXT eeprom successfully.
Then we write INT eeprom and INT flash one by one.
Write all data completed.
Disconnect and turn power off on P004.
Install the new BCM module to vehicle and test.
