OBDSTAR DC706 and X300 Classic G3 update Ford SID209 ECM reading and writing in boot mode. Here we will show how to read SID209 in boot using G3. Some users report they can write flash only on SID208/SID209, cannot write eeprom on bench and there is no boot mode option to read these ECMs. OBDSTAR now adds boot mode for these options.
Tools required:
OBDSTAR DC706 or x300 classic G3 with ECU license
MP001 programmer
SID209 ECM
Extra Power supply
Procedure:
Make sure update ECM software to V31.00 and newer.
Go to ECM V31.00, quick search SID209 and select Ford Continental SID209 TC1797
Select boot mode, read instructions and check wiring diagram.
Connect ECM with MP001 and Bench V3 jumper
Also need to power supply.
Select Boot mode with MP001.
Press Connect.
Read INT flash and save data.
Read INT eeprom and save data.
Back up data successfully.
Write INT flash.
Load external data and select INT flash we have backed up.
Write flash successfully.
Write eeprom.
Load external data and select INT eeprom we have backed up.
Write eeprom successfully.
Don’t forget to press Disconnect after finish.
